How long are rentals for?

Most of our backyard rentals are scheduled for the day of your event, but the exact timing may vary depending on our delivery route.

In many cases we deliver earlier in the day and pick up later in the evening, giving you more time with the inflatable than the minimum rental window.

If you need specific delivery or pickup times, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate your schedule.


Does the price include setup?

Yes.

All inflatable rentals include professional setup and takedown by our team. We make sure everything is properly secured and ready for safe use before we leave.

Delivery fees may apply depending on the distance from our warehouse.


Do you deliver outside of St. Joseph?

Yes! Highball Rides proudly serves many surrounding communities including:

St. Joseph
Savannah
Country Club
Elwood
Wathena
Amazonia
DeKalb
Easton
Avenue City

We also travel for larger events and festivals. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and equipment required.


When do you set up?

Most deliveries take place the morning or early afternoon of your event.

Because we deliver multiple rentals each day, we cannot guarantee an exact time but we work hard to make sure your inflatable arrives well before your event begins.

You will receive a confirmation message before your event with additional details.


Are your inflatables clean?

Absolutely.

Cleanliness is extremely important to us. Every inflatable is:

Cleaned
Disinfected
Inspected

after each rental.

We want every child and family to enjoy a clean and safe inflatable experience.

Does the inflatable need to stay plugged in?

Yes.

Inflatables require a blower running continuously to keep them inflated. If the blower is unplugged, the unit will deflate.

We require a standard electrical outlet within about 75 feet of the setup location. For parks or locations without power, a generator may be required.

If your event location does not have power available, Highball Rides offers generators for rent to ensure your inflatable runs safely during the entire event.


Can you set up at parks or public events?

Yes, but there are a few things to consider.

Many parks do not provide power, so a generator may be required. Some public locations also require permits or insurance documentation.

If power is not available, Highball Rides offers generators for rent so your inflatable or ride can operate properly during the event.

What surfaces can inflatables be set up on?

We can safely set up on:

• Grass (preferred)
• Concrete
• Asphalt
• Indoor gym floors

Grass is always our first choice because units can be securely staked into the ground.

Concrete and asphalt setups require sandbags or weights.


What happens if there is bad weather?

Safety is our top priority.

Inflatables cannot be operated in strong winds or severe weather.

Highball Rides follows these safety guidelines:

Maximum 25 mph wind when staked in grass
Maximum 15 mph wind when set up on concrete

If weather conditions become unsafe, we may cancel or shut down the inflatable for safety. In those cases we will work with you on rescheduling or refunds according to our weather policy.


Do you require a deposit?

Yes.

A deposit is required to reserve your rental date. This ensures the equipment is held specifically for your event.

The remaining balance is typically due at delivery or before your event date.


What if something gets damaged?

Customers are not responsible for normal wear and tear.

However, if damage occurs due to misuse, negligence, or failure to follow safety rules, the renter may be responsible for repair or replacement costs.

We review safety rules at delivery so everyone understands how to use the equipment properly.


Do you have insurance?

Yes.

Highball Rides carries liability insurance for our protection and for the events we serve. If your venue requires proof of insurance, please let us know in advance.


Are inflatables safe?

Yes, when used properly.

Inflatables are designed with safety in mind, but adult supervision and following the rules are essential.

Most accidents occur when safety guidelines are ignored, such as:

• Too many riders
• Mixing large and small children
• Rough play
• Operating in high winds

We provide safety instructions to help ensure everyone has a fun and safe experience.

Do your rides require an operator?

Yes.

For safety reasons, all amusement rides rented from Highball Rides require one of our trained operators to remain with the ride during operation.

Our operators are responsible for safely running the equipment, monitoring riders, and ensuring all safety guidelines are followed. This helps ensure your event runs smoothly and safely for everyone involved.

Operator staffing is included in the ride rental pricing unless otherwise noted.

What is the difference between inflatable rentals and ride rentals?

Inflatables such as bounce houses and water slides are generally rented for backyard parties and are self-operated by the renter after setup.

Larger attractions such as mechanical bulls, trackless trains, and carnival rides require a trained Highball Rides operator to remain with the ride during the event to ensure safe operation.


How long are ride rentals?

Our website is typically set up for 4-hour ride rentals, which works well for most festivals, school events, and corporate parties.

However, we understand that every event is different. If you need a shorter or longer rental time, we can absolutely adjust the rental to fit your event schedule.
